  1. Monthly dividends sound fantastic from MTL - with the announced increase in dividends, do they have to commit to this higher monthly dividend for all of the 12 months? I'd imagine there would be too much uncertainty for investors in the annual dividend otherwise?

    1. Totally agree. MTL is definitely not a dividend growth stock. They don't even have a single year of dividend increases. they have been 3 years of dividend payment. Payout ratio of 80% is high. Only reason to buy is for yield.

  2. Div Geek -

Love the increases. Norfolk (NSC) had a juice 18% div increase this month also, was loving that for sure!

    1. Sure did. NSC has 8 Years of consecutive dividend increases. Does not meet my 10 year requirement. Still good increase.

  4. Nice Post DG. I don't own any. Recently I have been buying Utility and REITs lately and I think I will continue to buy those sectors before moving on to anything else. Will see. I like CNR and have been eyeing on it for some time but haven't pulled trigger on it yet.

    Good Luck.
