My forward dividends reached $602.06, this a 10.93% increase from last month ( August 2017 ). I am slowly inching my way towards my goal of $750 in forward dividends. I expect to be there in about 3-4 months. Would be nice if I could reach it before end of 2017. My overall portfolio grew by 10.40%. 8.91% of this growth came through infusion of new capital (inorganic growth). 1.49% of the growth came through change in stock market value(organic growth). I continue to increase my value stocks position, as of now value stocks are 12.29% of my portfolio. S&P 500 ETF (VOO) is still a major chunk of my portfolio at 43.54%. Average expense ratio is still 0.12%.

Seems like it took forever for vanguard to payout dividends.Typically Q2 and Q4 are best for vanguard mutual funds. Q1 and Q3 are reasonable.

I want to add a quick post on the latest Equifax data leaks. It seems like this data breach affected about 50% of the Americans. The information stolen included social security number, address, date of birth and driver license. This information is sufficient to to forge any person (to open credit cards, bank accounts ... you name it). Indeed this is a very serious breach.
